What We Do

EVERYbody Project Workshop

The Eating Disorder Outreach Team’s (EDOT) primary focus is to run the EVERYbody Project Workshops each semester. The two-part workshop aims to help students feel better about their bodies while also learning ways to challenge the societal norms and expectations of what “attractiveness” means. Annual Events

Each year at the end of October, the EDOT team runs No BS Week where we work to raise awareness about body shaming. EDOT will partner with other Counseling Center outreach teams and campus groups to table around campus and provide resources and fun activities focused on how to reduce our tendency to engage in body shaming.

During the Spring Semester each year, the Counseling Center, led by the EDOT team celebrates NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) week where we will post on our social media and table across campus to raise awareness about eating disorder prevalence and treatment. Then, in April each year, we run the NEDA walk, which is a FUNdraiser celebrating body empowerment and recovery from disordered eating where proceeds go to the NEDA association so they may continue providing support to the eating disorder community.

Keep an eye on the Counseling Center social media accounts to see where we will be to participate!
