Please direct any questions to Tzu-An Hu, Ph.D., Associate Director of Training, 217-333-3704.

Selection

Application materials are reviewed in detail by members of the Intern Search Committee. After this review, virtual interviews are conducted with approximately the top 25-40 applicants. Notification of selection follows the guidelines of the Association of Psychology and Postdoctoral Internship Centers.

Ranking of candidates is based on our review of the online (See APPIC for online submission of application) materials submitted by applicants as well as virtual interviews. The Counseling Center has no formal on-site interview procedure. Applicants are welcome to visit in order to gather information about the internship, but the Intern Search Committee does not require such a visit for the selection process. If you wish to visit, contact Dr. Tzu-An Hu, who will arrange for you to meet informally with available interns and clinical staff.

This internship site agrees to abide by APPIC guidelines for the matching process. This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
