2020 Dennis H. May Conference on Diversity Issues and the Role of Counseling Centers

The 2020 Dennis H. May Conference on Diversity Issues and the Role of Counseling Centers is going to look a lot different than it has in the past as we continue to determine how to best adapt to our circumstances during COVID-19. This year, we will be doing an abbreviated conference that will be held via Zoom on September 14, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The theme of this year's virtual conference is “Mental Health in Multiple Pandemics: Strengthening Support in Trying Times." We will be hosting two sessions of concurrent rountable discussions addressing how we can help students during these times of uncertainty. To conclude the conference, attendees are encouraged to come together as a large group to discuss takeaways and how what solutions can be enacted in a timely manner to assist students at this crucial time.

Having a virtual conference does have several advantages. First, we plan to record all sessions, so if you're having a hard time deciding which roundtable you want to go to, you'll be able to watch the others online at a later time! Best of all, this year's conference is free of charge to those who want to attend!
