Theoretical Orientation:
I use an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy. I primarily work from a Relational Cultural framework that focuses on relational needs, multicultural considerations, and the role of power. In therapy, I am passionate about individualizing therapy to better address clients’ presenting concerns within the context of their lives. To this end, I integrate skills within cognitive-behavioral and humanistic frameworks to best suit client needs. I work to create a safe and collaborative space in which my clients can raise awareness, experience, and process their concerns and themselves.
Professional Interests:
My areas of professional interest include identity development, family of origin concerns, social justice, intersectionality, minority stress, anxiety, depression, crisis work, and LGBTQ student concerns.
