Theoretical Orientation:
Grounded in strengths-based approaches, I aim to identify cultural protective factors that promote resilience and positive psychological well-being for diverse communities. I take an integrative approach (i.e., a combination of person-centered, trauma-informed, and relational frameworks) to develop and implement culturally sensitive interventions, programming, and policies that target the reduction of racism-related stress and mental health disparities within BIPOC communities. I believe healing and growth come from a supportive, collaborative, and warm environment where individuals feel safe enough to genuinely explore their stories and are inspired to work toward creating a life that is authentic and meaningful.
Professional Interests:
I am passionate about working with marginalized/underserved communities, particularly queer students of color. My other interests include LGBTQIA+ concerns, trauma, international student concerns, grief and loss, holistic health, and spirituality.
