RIO, which stands for recognition, insight, and openness, is a 2-part series that is designed to help you:
- Manage stress, anxiety. and other emotions productively.
- Learn mindfulness skills that can have a positive impact in the classroom and in your relationships.
- Identify what's most important to you and prioritize accordingly.
RIO combines the latest evidence-based practices to introduce a variety of tools that can be applied for years to come. These tools may be conceptual (such as introducing useful metaphors or thinking strategies) or experiential (such as introducing mindfulness techniques to shift your interactions with your internal experiences). Workshop participants are encouraged to share experiences, discuss homework, and offer support as they work toward making changes. Participants will be expected to engage in exercises at home between sessions and must be able to commit to both dates of a series to participate.
