Studying, Time Management, and Writing Skills

It is not uncommon for even the highest-achieving students to have to adjust to a new style of studying and time management at college. Often, first generation college students find themselves balancing the demands of coursework as well as the demands of a job, extracurricular activities, and spending time with family and friends. There are several resources at the University of Illinois that can assist you in this transition.

Counseling Center and CCP Paraprofessionals

Staff at the University of Illinois Counseling Center may be another good resource if you struggle with time management, test anxiety, attention and concentration concerns. You can arrange an Initial Appointment by calling 217-333-3704.
