Our Commitment to Interns

  • Investment in your training – interns work with virtually every clinical counselor in some aspect of intern training (e.g., supervision, seminars, treatment teams, outreach, consultation or administration).
  • Availability of licensed staff psychologists of varied theoretical orientations to provide individual and group supervision and actively participate in ongoing training seminars and case conferences
  • To make every attempt to meet your preferences and needs in accordance with APA accreditation and specialty guidelines and within the limits set by the Intern Training Committee, available staff resources, and the service demands of the agency.
  • To help you prepare yourself to function as knowledgeable and skilled professionals in university counseling centers as well as in a variety of other mental health service delivery settings. Former interns have gone on to work in university counseling centers, mental health centers or clinics, academic departments, and private practices.
