RIO (Recognition, Insight, and Openness) Workshop

RIO is a 2-part workshop that focuses on recognition, insight and openness to help people with their emotional concerns. The workshop has the following objectives:

  • Become aware of moment-to-moment experiences.
  • Gain tools to recognize your concerns.
  • Take action in becoming open and accepting of your experiences
  • Develop a roadmap to change based on personal values and goals.

RIO combines the latest evidence-based practices to introduce a variety of tools that can be applied for years to come. These tools may be conceptual (such as introducing useful metaphors or thinking strategies) or experiential (such as introducing mindfulness techniques to shift your interactions with your internal experiences). Workshop participants are encouraged to share experiences, discuss homework, and offer support as they work toward making changes. Participants will be expected to engage in exercises at home between sessions and must be able to commit to both dates of a series to participate.
